01 Who we are

This website is the official CurrentBody Skin website & store, operated by CurrentBody Skin as the data controller. Our registered office is Glasshouse, Alderley Park, Congleton Road, Nether Alderley, Cheshire, SK10 4ZE, United Kingdom.

This policy explains what personal data we collect when you browse or buy, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. If anything is unclear, email info@currentbody.skin.

02 Information we collect

We collect personal data in three ways:

• What you give us: Your name, email address and message when you use the contact form, and your name, email, delivery address and payment details when you place an order.
• What we collect automatically: Your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you visit through cookies and similar technologies.
• What we receive from partners: Payment confirmation and fraud checks from our payment processors, and delivery status from our couriers.

03 How we use your information

We use your personal data to:

• Process and deliver your order, and handle returns and refunds
• Answer your questions and provide product support
• Send you the newsletter, only if you asked for it
• Detect fraud, meet our legal duties, and improve the site

We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.

04 Cookies

This site sets cookies for two reasons:

• Essential cookies: Needed to run the store, keep your basket and remember your cookie choice. These cannot be switched off.
• Analytics cookies: Used to see which pages people read so we can improve them. They are only set if you accept all cookies.

05 How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as we need it:

• Order records: six years, to meet tax and consumer law
• Contact messages: twelve months
• Newsletter details: until you unsubscribe
• Analytics data: anonymised after fourteen months

06 Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:

• Access: Send you a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct: Fix anything inaccurate or incomplete.
• Delete: Remove your personal data where we are not required to keep it.
• Object or restrict: Limit how we use your data in certain cases.
• Port: Give you your data in a portable format.

07 Security

All data sent through this site is protected with TLS encryption. Access to personal data is limited to staff who need it, and payment card details are handled by our payment processors, not stored on this site.

No system is completely secure, so we review our practices regularly and limit what we hold to what we need.

08 International transfers

We serve customers worldwide, so your data may be processed in the United Kingdom, the European Union or the United States. Where data leaves the UK or EEA, we use the appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses, to protect it.

09 Children

This site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their data, email info@currentbody.skin and we will delete it.

10 Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our practices change. The current version appears here with the date it took effect, and we will tell you about material changes by email or on the site.
